Made my first eggnog latte this season! Eggnog was on sale at Safeway this past weekend so, I caved. I convinced myself that it’s better than paying $4 for one latte at Starbucks. This way, I can have four for about the same cost when you factor in my double shot espresso. I’m not a calorie counter for a reason.
Eggnog Latte
Ingredients
1 cup eggnog
1-3 shots of espresso, depending on how much you need
a pinch of nutmeg
Instructions
1. Heat the eggnog, by steaming to 170 degrees F or on the stove top on med heat until heated through, not boiling.
2. Put the espresso in a mug. Add the hot eggnog.
3. Sprinkle a pinch of nutmeg on top.
The best part of a latte for me is the foam. So I like to steam my milk until I get super micro foam. It’s creamy and milk moustache material!
