I’ve been making a lot of pizza lately. I haven’t ventured much into making bread doughs yet so I buy my fresh pizza dough from Duso’s on Granville Island. The princess loves potato pizza and the boy loves Hawaiian and neither are huge fans of tomato sauce. So I’ve been making pesto to spread for the sauce and sometimes I just use some extra virgin olive oil. The pizzas are always quickly gobbled up and it’s a simple meal to make. I also use fresh bocconcini instead of mozzarella and thinly sliced porchetta instead of ham. One day, I ran out of pineapple, so I opened a can of lychee. It was amazing!
The fresh pizza dough is way better than the fresh prepared pizza crust. Hard to justify takeout pizza after having this 🙂
I know, right?! Miss going to Granville Island now that the boy no longer has weekly classes. Will have to try making the dough at home.
