It’s been way too long since my last post but what better way to get started again… With homemade lemonade!
We are currently in San Francisco on our instalumtrip2 and there’s a huge lemon tree in the backyard at Dude’s cousin’s house, where we are staying. So what do you do with all those lemons? You make lemonade of course!
Lemonade
Ingredients
1 cup boiling water
1 cup sugar
Pinch of salt
1 cup fresh lemon juice (approximately 8 lemons)
5 cups of cold water
Instructions
1. Put boiling water in a large measuring cup (at least 2 cups capacity). Stir in sugar and salt until completely dissolved. (You’ve just made simple syrup.) Put it in the fridge to cool.
2. Meanwhile juice your lemons.
3. Once the simple syrup is cooled, combine the syrup, lemon juice and cold water in a pitcher and stir.
I like my lemonade very lemony but you may want to adjust the amount of lemon juice and sugar depending on what you prefer. I also have a peach lemonade recipe that you might like. Enjoy!
Yummy!! Now I need to make some!! <3
Did you, Beatriz? Always one of my favourite things about hot summer days.
I never knew that so much sugar was in lemonade! One cup!!! Wow!
PS – Have I got a story to tell u and Dude about Caire (neighbor across the street)

LOL! It’s 1 cup for practically 1/2 gallon of lemonade not per glass. 😉
Made my teeth fall out just thinking of it! 😉
